Diving in North America

There is so much choice for diving in North America. Our favourite destination is the Atlantic coast of Florida.

Fringing the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, Florida has a coastline stretching 1350 miles and on its Eastern shore, the tip of the World’s second largest barrier reef system. The warm water currents coming from the South, combined with the cooler waters of the Atlantic bring in nutrients galore, and the marine life and reefs are quite simply stunning! This translates into really big reef systems covered in soft corals, schooling fish galore, and being a perfect breeding ground for all things big, huge populations of sharks, turtles and the like. Add to this the impressive array of shipwrecks, caves and caverns and blackwater diving opportunities, Florida really is a very special dive destination that should be visited at least once, for all divers from entry level to serious technical and even rebreather users.

Next on our list? North Carolina for Sand Tiger sharks and some amazing wrecks and Hawaii for the renowned manta night dives!
