ELEUTHERA & HARBOUR ISLAND

From endless pineapple fields to white- and pink-sand beaches to secluded coves and miles of coastlines, Eleuthera & Harbour Island define the Bahamas. Much of the architecture and way of life was influenced by British Loyalists who settled here in the 1700s.

Diving in the Eleuthera

You can enjoy some of the finest blue hole, cave and reef diving here, and more natural wrecks than any other island of The Bahamas. The Devil’s Backbone, a shallow and jagged reef, extends across the northern edge of the islands. Forests of Elkhorns, star and brain corals, are crowned by sea fans, lobsters peak from holes, and eels wind through the reef. You can also feed the fish, take a dip in the inland “Ocean Hole,” or swim through the drift dive called Current Cut.
